Residential Rentals
Residential customers can be local or one way customers, any one moving house hold items not for a company would be a residential rental. Local residential rates are based on a daily rate plus mileage. One way residential rates are a flat rate with mileage included. All box trucks come equipped with a pull out ramp that connects to the box for easy loading.
Also for rental are furniture pads and hand trucks. Furniture pads can help assure you don’t scratch valuable furniture, or help wrap fragile objects like glass or mirrors. Hand Trucks make it easy to move multiple boxes at a time, or heavy appliances or furniture.
When renting a truck you will need a valid driver’s license and credit or debit card. You have the option to pay with cash at the end of the transaction. However the deposit must be left on a debit or credit card. All rental trucks come full of fuel, and should be returned the same way. Trucks that return not full of fuel or filled with trash and debris will have a charge on their rental.
It is not mandatory that residential customers take the insurance options Penske offer, though it is highly recommended. Especially on the larger size trucks, most insurance companies do not cover vehicles of that weight. It is recommended that you check with your insurance company to verify if you are covered or not prior to picking up the rental unit.
Residential customers have the option of booking reservations online at a discount rate. Penske also offers discounts to active military, veterans and AAA members. There is a 24/7 Customers service number where a representative can assist you to make/change or cancel a reservation. (1-800-PENSKE1)
